Civil Engineer - Project Engineer (Direct Hire)

Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes surveillance, monitoring and controlling construction of buildings of all types to ensure compliance with contract documents and to ensure proper construction materials and techniques, reviewing construction technical data for progress reports, preparing data for processing of pay estimates for construction projects, and enforcing construction industry and safety standards on construction projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
