Engineering Equipment Operator

The duties of the position include but are not limited to:
Operating a variety of gasoline or diesel powered engineering and construction equipment with wheeled or crawler-type traction and attachments Operating crawler tractor, front-end attachments, bulldozer, farm tractors, etc. Conducting disking, chipping, mowing, rotovating, digging, loading and leveling to a rough grade Servicing equipment by checking fluids, lubricating, and performing safety checks Keeping written maintenance records for all equipment operated By the closing date of this announcement, you must meet the requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Handbook X118C, Job Qualification System for Trades and Labor Occupation. http:

To be qualified candidates must meet any screen out element(s) listed at an acceptable level, and must achieve an average rating of at least acceptable on all of the elements. Only education, training, or experience acquired before the closing date will be considered. At the WG-08 level, the Engineering Equipment Operator is expected to perform the work of the position without more than normal supervision while performing a variety of trades such as routine machine operation, work specifications, maintenance and repair, and other miscellaneous tasks. (SCREEN-OUT) To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge, skill, and ability in the following job-related factors:
1. Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision (SCREEN-OUT) 2. Skill in operation of motor vehicles 3. Knowledge of work practices (including keeping things neat, clean, and in order) 4. Ability to interpret instructions, specifications, etc. (related to mobile equipment operation) 5. Ability to drive safely (motor vehicles) 6. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
